I've been binge listening to the legendary Ella Fitzgerald all week; what an amazing singer and she definitely has the most soothing voice in the world! For starters, listen to Someone To Watch Over Me!
How about you? What have you been listening to lately? Before that, here's our Fan Mail Fridays today from Charissa:
Can you please write about your favorite Asian beauty brands? Thank you!
Thanks for writing to me! When it comes to Asian products, I do like a lot; when it comes to brands, here are the few ones I swear by:

You know I’m always game for trying out new skin care products, but my skin care belief has always been if the routine and products work, stick to it.
In my Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser review, I mused that I have a monthly Skin Detox regimen that I commit to every time I finish using stronger skin care products; in here, I go back to my trusted basics to help my skin refresh, but without depriving my skin of the benefits of skin care. This trio of Cetaphil products is my staple in my Skin Detox regimen or anytime I feel that my skin needs to take a break. I’ve used it again for one month and if there’s anything that this regimen keeps on reminding me over and over again, it’s that skin care is actually simple: a committed usage plus great products equals great skin.
I’m musing about my skin commitment with Cetaphil.
Here's a review on Les Merveilleuses Laduree Glossy Rouge in 01.
PRICE: Around Y1,090 (Approximately P2,180.00)
FROM: Les Merveilleuses Laduree, La Foret, Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan
OTHER LOCATIONS: Please visit Les Merveilleuses Laduree's official website
I love anything vintage, especially those that have cameos, brocade, and anything that echoed the fabulous Victorian era; that's why I've been dying to get my hands on Laduree's Les Merveilleuses Laduree. Laduree, to those who are not familiar with the brand, is a famous French patisserie known for their macarons; they've expanded to candles, trinkets, and cosmetics, hoping to inspire an affluent lifestyle that is simply Laduree. And just as expected, their cosmetics are as sweet and lovable as their macarons (which I love too, by the way).
I picked up two of their makeups at their La Foret, Harajuku store in my recent trip to Japan. I got a blush and this, Glossy Rouge in the shade 01; it's a pigmented glossy lipstick; just the way I like it!
Glossy Rouge promises to dress lips in glowing color; available in 07 feminine shades.
I've had a meeting with the team of a certain beauty brand lately. They introduced me to their products and all I ever said were "Whoa!" "Whaaat" and "No way!" because of certain skin care ingredient revelations that I never thought brands would put in my creams; but they did. And you know what? People are buying. They must be effective!
And then it hit me: "Maybe I should do a round- up of the weirdest skin care ingredients!"
So ladies and gents, prepare to be fascinated and amazed at 16 of the weirdest skin care ingredients ever.
P.S. I almost called this the Zoology of Skin Care, but the title I used seemed better. Teehee!
